Current archive posture

KMEC has confirmed its ownership or authorization for the content it publishes here. Audio and video records in this release currently open their named source pages because reviewed media files have not yet been added to the application.

Item records retain the exact edition, recording, source URL, credit line, and permitted uses so visitors can understand where each work came from and what the application provides.

Rights record checklist

Each published item identifies the exact file or named collection and records which uses are available: streaming, first-party hosting, embedding, transcription, captions, translation, excerpts, thumbnails, social previews, or offline download.

The record also keeps the owner or authorizing party, required credit, any geographic or time limits, and the correction or takedown process.

Credit or takedown request

Use the KMEC contact page or write to info@kmechawaii.org. Include the page URL, work or record title, your relationship to the work, the requested action, and supporting documentation.

KMEC can temporarily remove or disable a disputed item while reviewing the request. A metadata-only record may remain when legally appropriate, but a rights holder's evidence and privacy interests will be considered.
