When KMEC publishes a quotation in the application, its edition or recording locator and source remain visible beside it.
Required fields for every quotation
- Text
- Exact words with punctuation checked against the source
- Attribution
- Speaker or author, with no inferred authorship
- Work
- Book, chapter, talk, or recording title
- Locator
- Printed page or recording timestamp
- Edition
- Edition, publication year, or recording identifier
- Provenance
- Visible source URL and owning collection
- Rights
- Publication-permitting status, not unknown or assumed
- Review
- Named human reviewer and review date
